Prof. Nohria is currently Richard P. Chapman Professor of Business Administration and Senior Associate Dean and Director of Faculty Development at Harvard Business School. His research centers on leadership, corporate accountability and organizational change. Co-author of ten books, his most recent, In Their Time, chronicles and draws lessons from some of the greatest American business leaders of the 20th Century.
Prof. Nohria has served as an advisor and consultant to several large and small companies in different parts of the world. He has been interviewed by ABC, CNN, and NPR, and cited in Business Week, Economist, Financial Times, Fortune, New York Times and The Wall Street Journal.

Dr. N. Radhakrishnan (M.Tech., Civil Engg., 1962) Dr. Radhakrishnan completed his M.Tech. – Civil Engg. in the year 1962 from IIT Bombay. Later he obtained his Ph.D. from the University of Texas at Austin. |

| He is currently the Vice chancellor for Research at North Carolina A&T State University. With over 40 years of experience in information technology, Dr. Radhakrishnan has been a widely respected leader in the Army, DOD and industry in computational science & engg. From 1999 – 2003, Dr. Radhakrishnan was Director of Computational & Information Sciences Directorate directly with a budget of US$180 million and Chief Information Officer of the US Army's Corporate R&D Laboratory with a research funding of US$ 10 billion. Earlier, he was also the Director of US Army Engineer Waterways Experiment Station. |

Mr. Rakesh Mathur (B.Tech., Mechanical Engg., 1978) Mr. Rakesh Mathur graduated from IIT Bombay with a degree in Mechanical Engg. in 1978 and obtained his MS in Industrial Engg. from the Univ. of Texas at Arlington, in 1980. |

| His entrepreneurial abilities soon came to the fore and he established several start ups in Silicon valley. He was the founder of Junglee and Purple yogi. His acumen has resulted in his being inducted on to the board of several important corporations and occupying important positions such as the Vice President of Amazon. After a string of such successes he has begun to focus his attention on India in general and IITB in particular. He has established "Webaroo" a start-up company at the SINE, IIT Bombay. Mr. Ramesh Vaikuntanathan Vangal (B.Tech., Mechanical Engg., 1977) Mr. Ramesh Vangal obtained his B.Tech. degree in Mechanical Engg. in the year 1977. He completed his MBA from the London Business School in 1979 and became the first Asian to be awarded the school's "Alumni of the Year" honor in 1996. |

Mr. Vangal is currently the Founder and Chief Executive of Scandent Group – a leading innovator in providing technology-enabled solutions and services to a wide array of Corporate and govt. clients around the word.
Mr. Vangal is also active in working with Singapore and is an advisor to the Infocom Development Authority of Singapore (IDA) and part of their Economic Review Committee. He is a Charter Member of TiE Silicon Valley, and on the Advisory Board of London Business School. He is also with Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) as its member on the National Council.
Mr. Vangal along with his spouse Katharin founded Katra Group which is a fast growing conglomeration of businesses in the health care, shipping, bio-chem, agri related and wine and spirit spaces. They together have also founded The Asha Foundation which helps physically challenged (brain injured) children with Comprehensive Rehabilitation Centres across India. |

Mr. Prashant Narayan Ranade (B.Tech., Mechanical Engg., 1975) Mr. Prashant Ranade completed his B.Tech. in Mechanical engg. in the year 1975. Thereafter, he obtained his MS degree from Univ. of Cincinnati, in 1977 and MBA from Xavier University, USA in 1982 |

Mr.Ranade's career has been primarily with the Seimens group of companies. He is recent past President and CEO of Dematic Corp. (formerly Siemens L&A-Logistics and Assembly), a company with $1.5 billion in sales and 5000 employees, dealing principally in process logistics and automation. Under his leadership, L&A had its first profitable year after two years, culminating in the best year ever for Dematic's business. Dematic is the largest supply chain automation company serving retailers/Wholesalers. As President, Mr. Ranade focused on new product development to achieve twice the market growth rate, cost savings, process improvement and, most importantly, the development of a service based client value proposition across the company.
He was a senior executive in major segments (Industrial, Automation, Medical Imaging Equipment) of Siemens in different contexts including turnarounds, acquisitions and divestitures to organic growth. From 1996 to 1999 he served as Vice President of the Small Motor Division at Rockwell Automation, after which he returned to the Siemens group. He currently serves on the Board of Dematic and a rapidly growing private home builder in Florida.
Mr. Ranade is member of MAPI (Manufacturers Alliance for Productivity Improvement), AMA, AFSM and IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers) and is involved in not-for-profits organizations( Juvenile Diabetes, Habitat for Humanity, fund raising to promote social and cultural activities). 'Giving back' to alma mater, Mr. Ranade has funded the new Tennis court facility at IIT B and generously contributed to various other developments on the campus.
He now lives in Grand Rapids and is an adjunct professor at Grand Valley State University where he teaches MBA students. He enjoys reading, travel, physical fitness, tennis and golf. Mr. Ranade has two sons aged 25 and 26. |

Dr. Sheel Kant Sharma did his M.Sc. in Physics in 1971 and his Ph.D. in high Energy Physics in 1974.
Dr. Sharma is currently the Ambassador of India to Austria and permanent representative of India to the UN organizations in Vienna. He joined the Indian Foreign service in July 1973. He has held many important positions in the Ministry of External Affairs and in International Atomic Energy Agency, Austria. He has made significant contributions to International affairs of India, and disarmament and nuclear non-proliferation issues. His nuclear and high-energy physics background, which he acquired at IITB was an important asset in these activities.
Dr. Sharma has furthered India's stand on strategic technologies like space, nuclear, advanced materials and missiles. |

Mr. Shailesh Ramkumar Gandhi (B.Tech., Civil Engg., 1969) Mr. Shailesh Gandhi obtained his B.Tech. degree in Civil Engg. in the year 1969 and is also the recipient of the Distinguished Alumni Service Award in the year 2001. |

He was an entrepreneur and the Chairman & Managing Director of Clear Plastics Limited till last year when he sold his company to concentrate on social activities. His main claim to fame is his distinguished vocation in vigorous voluntary public service. He is one of the prime movers behind the establishment of Right to Information Act. He continues to be a crusader for transparency and integrity in all public matters.
In the intial part of IITB Alumni Association's existence, he was the Chairman – Board of Directors and gave shape to the policies that guide IITBAA even today. |
