Mr. Arun Firodia is a B.Tech. from the Department of Electrical Engineering, IIT Bombay. He received his Master's in Electrical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and an MBA from the Sloan School of Management.
Mr. Firodia is one of the most respected industrialists in India. He is widely acknowledged as a visionary technocrat with strong patriotic values. His wide-ranging initiatives have formed an exemplary and diverse lifetime body of work.
Mr. Firodia is a member of several Committees. He instituted the "HK Firodia Awards for Excellence in Science and Technology" with a view to recognizing the achievements of Indian scientists and promoting science among the youth.

| Mr. Firodia has kickstarted several mega-initiatives to promote industry and trade. He has also given final shape to several ambitious projects and made several innovative proposals to Government of Maharashtra to attract investments, create employment and achieve economic growth. He has initiated several projects recognizing the need for citizen participation in making their city beautiful, clean and eco-friendly. |

Dr. Suresh Sethi completed his B.Tech. from the Department of Mechanical Engineering, IIT Bombay. Later, he obtained his MBA from Washington State University in 1969 and his Ph.D. from Carnegie Mellon University in 1972.
Dr. Sethi is one of the most distinguished management scholars and has made important and sustained contributions in the fields of operations management, finance, marketing, industrial engineering, operations research and optimal control. He is the recipient of numerous awards and honours and is a Fellow of many scholastic academies like POMS, INFORMS, AAAS, IEEE. He has an outstanding record of publications in almost all leading journals of Management Science and has served on editorial boards of several leading journals. His service to the field of optimization is widely acclaimed.
Dr. Sethi is one of the few IITB graduates from the 1960s who went to academia and made a mark. Today he is an exceptional scholar recognized worldwide for his extraordinary accomplishments in optimal theory and its application in operations research and management theories. |

Mr. Ravindra Gupta received his M.Sc. degree from the Department of Chemistry, IIT Bombay. Later, he joined IPS.
Mr. Gupta has had a distinguished career in administration in the entertainment industry. In-mid eighties he resigned from the Police Service to become the General Manager and then, shortly after, the Managing Director of the National Films Development Corporation. With the advent of satellite television, Doordarshan needed to improve the quality of its content and NFDC, under Mr. Gupta, stepped in to use this opportunity to bring good cinema to the masses. In the late nineties he founded the TV Channel B4U. He is currently the CEO of Mukta Arts Ltd. He also heads the Whistling Woods International, Asia's largest Film, TV, Animation and Media Arts Institute based in the Film City. He is currently advising the Government of India on setting up an entertainment promotion council, to be named as 'Entertainment Export Promotion Council of India'. He is also involved in PAN-IIT alumni activities and is a member of its Advisory Board. He has held Board positions in companies worldwide and has been on the government media advisory committees and on film industry bodies.
Mr. Gupta has demonstrated his innovative and entrepreneurial skills in an industry that is highly competitive and challenging. |

Dr. Jairaj Phatak is an M.Sc. from the Department of Physics, IIT Bombay. He obtained a postgraduate degree from Harvard and a doctorate in Management from the University of Mumbai, in 2004. Dr. Phatak is an IAS officer, belonging to the 1978 batch.
Dr. Phatak became the 25th municipal commissioner of the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), India, in May 2007, succeeding Mr. Johny Joseph. He has worked in departments as diverse as urban development, education, food and civil supplies, and rural development. Dr. Phatak has therefore gained the firsthand knowledge of Mumbai's issues and problems and the expertise to deal with them.
Dr. Phatak has served as the Principal Secretary in Urban Development department of Maharashtra Government. His tenure as Secretary to the Department of Education was lauded for the efforts he made to improve the lots of students. |

Dr. Rajeev Joshi is a B.Tech. from the Department of Mechanical Engineering, IIT Bombay. He did his Master's from MIT in 1981 and obtained his Ph.D. from Columbia University in 1990.
He worked in many companies prior to joining the IBM T.J.Watson Research Center. At IBM he is leading research scientists and has been recognized many times by IBM and other professional societies for his innovative work. He holds over 100 patents and was recently (2007) honoured with IBM Corporate Award, which is the highest award in IBM for research innovation, for his outstanding work in copper interconnect technology. He has to his credit several publications and invited papers in various international conferences.
He was in news for his and his group's successful realization of 6GHz embedded SRAM on 65nm SOI technology. This has many new applications in SOC business and he will get credit for such innovation along with his group members. He has also been interacting with IITB in advanced technology and design areas. | |
