IIT Bombay signed a Memorandum of understanding with Augsburg University of Applied Sciences, Germany on 15/12/2016. In order to promote co-operation the two institutions agree to encourage direct contact and mutually beneficial cooperation between their respective faculty , research institutes, departments and administrative staff.
The initial area of collaboration will be in corrosion engineering through :
Visit and exchange by faculty members and research scholars.
Joint research activities and joint supervision of research work.
Joint conference and symposia on subjects of mutual interest.
Exchange of information including, but not limited, research publications of faculty members.
To organise seminars, colloquia and symposia
Themes of joint activities, condition for utilising the results achieved as well as arrangements for specific visits and exchanges of Faculty members and researchers shall be defined on case by case specific agreement.
Hochschule Augsburg - University of Applied Sciences is a German university located in Augsburg. It was founded in 1971, but its institutional roots as an art academy go back to 1670. With more than 4,300 students the Augsburg University of Applied Sciences is one of the largest institutions of its kind in Bavaria. 127 Professors as well as 242 lecturers in 7 faculties are employed there. Currently 36 undergraduate and 12 master courses are offered.With 6000 students the Augsburg University of Applied Sciences is one of the largest in Bavarian Swabia.
