Memorandum Of Understanding With Holon Institute Of Technology, Israel
IIT Bombay signed a Memorandum of understanding with Holon Institute Of Technology, Israel on 03/2/2017. In order to promote co-operation the two institutions agree to encourage direct contact and mutually beneficial cooperation between their respective faculty , research institutes, departments and administrative staff.
Both the parties have agreed to :
1. Cooperate in the exchange of information relating to their faculty activities in the fields of mutual interests.
2. Promote joint faculty and scholar activities with particular emphasis on internationally funded projects.
3. Endeavour to encourage both staff and students to spend more time in a host institution. The exchange of staff and students will depend on execution of a formal staff or student exchange agreement mutually agreed by both the parties prior to commencement of this activity.
Themes of joint activities, condition for utilising the results achieved as well as arrangements for specific visits and exchanges of Faculty members and researchers shall be defined on case by case specific agreement.
Holon Institute of Technology (HIT) is an academic institution of higher learning in Holon, Israel. It focuses on teaching Science, Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Instructional Technologies, Design and Technology Management. HIT also deals with both theoretical and applied research and holds strong ties with the Israeli industry.
HIT was the first college in Israel which was accredited to grant the B.Sc. degree (colleges in Israel used to grant only the B.Tech. degree). As other colleges receive accreditation, HIT became the first to be accredited to give the M.Sc. degree.
