Student Alumni Meet, Mumbai

A Student Alumni Meet was organised by the Students’ Pan IIT Alumni Relations Cell (SPARC) under the guidance of the Dean ACR of 4 IITs (IIT Bombay, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Madras, IIT Guwahati) on 25th of June at LT-PCSA, IIT Bombay followed by open networking over lunch at VMCC.

The event started of with High Tea and some informal sessions which was followed by a panel discussion on the topic, ‘IITians: We are made in India, moving towards make in India.’ The discussion also saw extensive participation from all the alumni and students present over there.

The panelists were Mr Raj Nair, alumnus of IIT Bombay, Chairman, Avalon Consulting and Distinguished Alumnus Awardee; Mr Ravi Kant, alumnus of IIT Kharagpur, Former Chairman and Managing Director of TATA Motors; and Mr Ambi Parameswaran, Ex. CEO, FCB Ulka and Distinguished Alumnus Awardee. This was followed by open networking over lunch for all alumni and students.

The main motive of the event was to form stronger alumni relations and connect between various IITs on the level of alumni as well as students via cultural exchange and dialogue. We saw a total of 129 attendees at the event, 45 alumni and 84 students from the four participating IITs.
