2nd International Vision Zero Conference on Occupational Safety and Health

The concept of 'VISION ZERO' is fast emerging as an effective tool in improving the occupational safety and health (OSH) status worldwide and in achieving the goal of 'Zero Accidents'. The second global conference on this concept is being organized from February 18 - 20, 2019 at Indian Institute of Technology Bombay. The conference is being jointly hosted by Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IITB), Directorate General Factory Advice and Labour Institutes (DGFASLI, Ministry of Labour and Employment, GoI), and German Social Accident Insurance (DGUV), Germany, with the support of International Social Security Association (ISSA) Sections on Construction, Mining & Electricity.

The conference aims to focus on the occupational safety and health challenges and issues in the Manufacturing, Construction, Mining and Transportation sectors. During the conference, international and national experts will deliberate on advances and international best OSH practices. It is expected that the conference will help build networks and alliances while laying the groundwork for cooperation and strengthening professional relationships between global practitioners and academics.

An exhibition showcasing personal protective equipments (PPEs), Occupational Health, Risk Management, and Environmental Protection, will also be held during the conference by Safety Appliances Manufacturers Association (SAMA); it will provide an effective platform to support technological communication and trade.
