The month of March was one of surprises. Having completed half of the semester, all students were ready to dive deep into academics, indulge in grabbing the PORs they were eyeing and a lot of activity was expected. The sudden outbreak of the coronavirus in the country saw a turn of events. The institute had to be shut down mid of March and students were asked to go home to prevent the virus from spreading.
The month of February saw the campus abuzz with events and activities, including the semester mid-term examinations. The student gymkhana elections had the campus riveted with excitement and suspense. Please join me in congratulating all the contestants and wishing the winners a successful term ahead. Now let us glance at some of the highlights of this month’s edition.
The beginning of the new spring semester in January saw students returning back to the campus with joy and excitement. On January 26, 2020, IIT Bombay proudly celebrated the nation’s 71st Republic Day. The event included a ceremonial parade followed by a series of entertainment programs at the Institute Gymkhana Grounds.

I am very delighted to present the December issue of our newsletter. The onset of winter is here and with it an atmosphere of celebration too. The students of IIT-B have been through with their End Term examinations and even though the official term has ended, would be found tinkering throughout the campus, engaged in a multitude of technical and student activities. This goes on to show that our campus restricts its wholesome education neither by months nor syllabus.

The colorful and sparkling celebrations of Navratri and Diwali marked the beginning and the end of October, respectively. Meanwhile, the Institute bubbled with vivid student-organized fests. The excitement of Diwali slowly wanes as the students begin their preparations for the end-semester exams.
IIT Bombay's month of October is going to be filled with a lot of activities and as the major festivals of India line up this month, it is only going to increase the excitement and enthusiasm inside the students. This September saw IIT Bombay acquire a new lease of life, as students engaged in preparations for their mid-semester examinations with utmost dedication and aplomb.
