Mantra for Success:

“Bhavatu sarva mangalam from the Buddhist philosophy and Gita Karmic Philosophy i.e. doing good for everyone, you shall benefit yourself. I learnt it from Gita but understood the implementation from Vipassana meditation.”

Special Memories Associated with IIT Bombay:

“In my last year in the EE department, our faculty were very supportive and allowed me to explore different ideas. I did my final DDP as a laboratory systems admin working with Prof. Abhay Karandikar, under my advisor Prof. D. Manjunath and co-advisor Prof. N. Hemachandra from Mechanical department. Working with three separate eminent faculties was a challenge but they gave me tremendous exposure and the ability to juggle roles. Ultimately, these skills led to my placement in Nvidia (world-wide top 100 best employer in 2005 and one of the top companies coming to IIT Bombay). This was my dream job and I was overjoyed when this happened. In my first year at IIT Bombay, I weighed 104 kg, I participated in swimming for NSO credit. To pass, I did 12 hours of continuous marathon swimming. After 8 hours in the pool, when I was close to giving up, my friends came in at 3 am to cheer me on to keep swimming. For an overweight person without a sports background, this event impressed into my ethos that hard work and support of friends can help us accomplish anything.”
