IIT Bombay Heritage Foundation celebrates 25 years of supporting IIT Bombay

IIT Bombay Heritage Foundation ("IITBH") is a US-based non-profit charity organization established to support students, alumni, faculty and research at Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay. IITBHF has a Platinum ranking with Guidestar, which rates US non-profit charitable organizations. The organization has worked hard to realize the vision of IIT Bombay's former director Dr. S. P. Sukhatme, who dreams of an IIT that never forgets it has a "tryst with excellence."

In the course of 25 years, IITBH has witnessed monumental achievements. These include raising $50 million in donations from 3300 unique donors, funding 25 schools and laboratories at IIT Bombay, establishing 19 chair professorships, so on and so forth. IITBH's glorious achievements and 25 years of supporting IIT Bombay were celebrated during a virtual event attended by hundreds of leading alumni and past and current IIT Bombay Directors. IIT Bombay's present director Dr. Subhasis Chaudhuri lauded IITBH for its far-reaching contributions over the last 25 years and requested the alumni to continue their efforts in supporting IIT Bombay's vision to enhance its teaching and research standards so that it ranks among the top 50 world Institutes by IITB@75.
