IIT Bombay signed a Memorandum of understanding with Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology, Taiwan on 18/1/2018. In order to promote cooperation the two institutions agree to encourage direct contact and mutually beneficial cooperation between their respective faculty, research institutes, departments and administrative staff.
The collaboration between the two institutions will be through
Exchange of faculty, researchers and administrative staff
Exchange of students
Conducting collaborative research projects
Conducting lectures and symposia on subjects of mutual interest.
Exchange of academic information and material
Promotion of academic cooperation as mutually agreed.
Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology (南臺科技大學) is a private university in Yongkang District, Tainan, Taiwan. The university was founded in 1969 and has four major faculties which include College of Engineering, College of Business, College of Humanities and Social Sciences and College of Digital Design.
Since its establishment, STU has had long-term plans to develop further. Thus the budget has increased every year and construction projects have finished progressively on schedule. The school now contains 31 buildings, including the Auditorium, Teaching and Research Building, Internship Workshop, Library, Student Union Building, and dormitories for male and female students. In addition to these facilities, there are well-built facilities for sports, including tennis courts with nighttime lighting.
