Time to celebrate, IITB!

QS World University Rankings is an annual publication of university rankings by Quacquarelli Symonds, a British company. IIT Bombay has been ranked 152nd in the world this year, with an overall score of 49.4 out of 100. IIT Bombay has shown significant strides towards overall improvement, which is evident by its stunning jump by 81 ranks since 2014.

IIT Bombay received the scroll for being the best ranked university in India from Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) at the hands of Hon'ble HRD Minister, Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ at Shastri Bhavan, New Delhi on July 2, 2019. Prof. Milind Atrey, Dean (R&D), represented IIT Bombay.

In an endeavour to help more students study in our Institute, a brand new hostel, Hostel 18 has been built and is ready for occupation. It was also inaugurated by Hon’ble HRD Minister, Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’. The Union Minister said that all higher educational institutions should focus on quality, research and innovation. According to him, the research should find the solutions to the problems of society at all levels and contribute to the overall development of the nation.
