Russian Cosmonaut Sergei Revin Visits IITB

As part of "Days of Moscow in India", the Russian Spaceman Sergey Revin visited to deliver a lecture. A photo exhibition on his space journey was on display at the venue.

Revin Sergei Nikolaevich, pilot-cosmonaut of the Russian Federation, graduated from the National Research University of Electronic Technology (MIET) with a degree in Automatics and Electronics, majoring in physics engineering. Revin defended his PhD thesis at Moscow Humanitarian University, has published many scientific articles and participated in Russian and international conferences.

From July 1998 to January 2011, he was a test cosmonaut of the Energia Rocket and Space Corporation. Since January 2011, he is a test cosmonaut of the Yuri Gagarin Institute of Cosmonauts. From December 2011, he underwent training in the ISS-31/32 main crew as a flight engineer with Gennady Padalka and Joseph Akaba.

From May 15, 2012 to September 17, 2012, Sergei worked as a flight engineer of Soyuz TMA-04 and ISS-31/32 on long expedition to the ISS. Flight duration was 125 days, 00 hours, 50 min. In the year 2014, REVINmSergei was awarded the title of the Hero of the Russian Federation.
