Peppermint is an industrial robotics startup – making and deploying housekeeping robots for commercial and industrial applications. Incubated at SINE IIT Bombay and supported by Qualcomm, Peppermint now ships its robots across India and Middle East.
The key objective for devising the technology + product is to upgrade services which are manpower dependent and unaccountable. Traditional housekeeping methods are slow, expensive, manpower intensive and inefficient.
Peppermint robots are designed for Airports, Industries, Warehouses, Malls, Hospitals and more.
With Peppermint, the housekeeping is upgraded with better cleaning (Patented Dynamic Triple Action Clean), 90% reduction in manhours needed and >50% reduction in electricity costs.
This start-up has been fostered at Society for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (SINE), IIT Bombay. SINE is an umbrella organisation at IIT Bombay for fostering entrepreneurship and nurturing tech start-ups. It is a business incubator which provides ‘Start to scale’ support for technology-based entrepreneurship and facilitates the conversion of research activity into entrepreneurial ventures
