IIT Bombay Celebrates Independence Day with Fit India Movement Freedom Run 2.0

IIT Bombay held its Fit India Movement Freedom Run 2.0 on its campus on 14th August as a part of its Independence Day celebration. This race was planned as a part of the 'Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav,' the celebration of India's 75th year of independence, following the Prime Minister's vision for a fitter country. The cross-country race across the IIT Bombay campus had over a hundred participants, including students and staff.

On 15th August, as per tradition, the national flag was hoisted by the director, Subhasis Chaudhuri, and followed by a speech delivered by him. However, due to the pandemic, the event was carried out in the presence of limited attendees. The event was streamed on IIT Bombay's Official YouTube channel.

NCC IIT Bombay and Abhyuday arranged 'SANDESH TO SOLDIERS' and set up a counter where campus residents could write cards to the soldiers and conveyed the messages to the soldiers on their behalf.
